At Meadowell Therapies, Occupational Therapists will complete functional assessments to understand how an individual’s health condition, disability, injury, posture, seating, mobility, cognition, environment, and daily routines affect their ability to participate in everyday activities. This may include assessing personal care, domestic tasks, mobility, transfers, work, leisure, and meaningful occupations.
Assessments will be guided by an occupational therapy model of practice to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach. This will support consideration of the interaction between the person, their occupations, and their environment, enabling Meadowell Therapies to identify strengths, needs, risks, barriers, and practical recommendations to promote independence, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

At Meadowell Therapies, Occupational Therapists will provide rehabilitation services to support individuals to improve, maintain, or adapt their ability to participate in everyday activities following illness, injury, disability, changes in function, pain, fatigue, anxiety, or reduced confidence. Rehabilitation may focus on personal care, domestic tasks, mobility, community access, work, leisure, routines, and meaningful occupations, using graded activity, skills practice, education, equipment, environmental advice, pacing, and compensatory strategies.
Rehabilitation will be guided by an occupational therapy model of practice to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach. This will support consideration of the interaction between the person, their occupations, and their environment, enabling Meadowell Therapies to develop practical goals and tailored intervention plans that promote independence, safety, confidence, dignity, self-management, wellbeing, and quality of life.
